General Health and Safety Policy Statement

The Directors of Kaygee recognise that the group's most valuable asset is its employees and that co-operation on the part of its employees is vital.

It is the policy of Kaygee to provide a safe and healthy environment for all its employees. In particular, to provide so far as is reasonably practicable:

Although many operations are carried out by sub-contractors, this in no way diminishes Kaygee's responsibility and it is the Directors' aim that this same high standard of health and safety will be reflected in the design and installation of plant, equipment and service for all projects undertaken for our clients and in the care of others who may be affected by our acts.

The Directors are also committed to promoting high standards of security and protection of company property as well as that of its clients whilst we are working for them.

Compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, current Health and Safety legislation and Approved Codes of Practice, provision of sound health and safety advice, health and safety management, health and safety training and consultation are fundamental to the achievement of this policy.

It is the legal duty of every employee whilst at work to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and the other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions and to co-operate with Kaygee in any way that is necessary to enable it to comply with any duty imposed upon it by any of the relevant statutory provisions.

This policy requires that clearly defined standards are produced for each Kaygee employee and that consultation; monitoring and auditing procedures are in place and being used to ensure operations meet the required health and safety standards.

This policy will be implemented by every manager throughout Kaygee and must be brought to the attention of every employee by their manager.

Project Mangers are each responsible for ensuring that this Health and Safety Policy is implemented, audited and revised as necessary. A full-time Health and Safety Advisor will assist them.
